<P>AIPS++ documentation authors should use graphics sparingly, as they
degrade response time in some browsers and over slow networks. The GIF
graphics shown here are recommended for use in AIPS++ documentation
when you need more emphasis than is available with fonts alone.</P>
<P>These graphics are kept in <kbd>docs/gif</kbd>. The IMG referencing
examples will therefore work as is for a document in any directory
that is one level below <kbd>docs</kbd>, <EM>e.g.,</EM>
<kbd>docs/memos</kbd>. AIPS++ documents elsewhere should use such
relative addressing, adjusted to fit their location.</P>
